SONG:
WHERE IS MY HOME ?
(© 2003 Words- Betty J. Curtis)

WHERE IS MY HOME (no demo yet)

SINGER: Angie: night,outside shelter-alone.
After trouble-makers have trashed the shelter.

Where is my Home, the one I can't remember ?
Soft winds of Summer, and gentle rainfall.
Light in the window, shining out through the darkness,
deep calm of evening spreading peace over all.

Where is my Home, the one I've forgotten ?
Soft Winter snow; Moon like a lamp.
Warmth of the fireside, subtle and tender.
Village like a Presence, a neighborly camp.

Chorus
I must have lived there,
though I can't remember.
My soul sighs a longing,
my heart hears its call.
A hope in my mind,
reaches out in belonging,
my Spirit is listening,
standing tip-toe and tall.

Where is my Home, the one I can't remember,
except in my dreams, or in longing within ?
I miss the person who ran through Spring meadows,
sang with the birds, and ran with the wind.

Where is my Home, the one that I'm missing ?
The Home that I knew, in some other time.
I can hear a far music. I see the light glisten,
but where it might be is lost to my mind.

Chorus
I must have lived there,
though I can't remember.
My soul sighs a longing,
my heart hears its call.
A hope in my mind,
reaches out in belonging,
my Spirit is listening,
standing tip-toe and tall.
