Just another reminder that until we are comfortable with ourselves, we aren't really comfortable anywhere. We have to know our inner Self. Sometimes it takes years to get there, but the sooner we start inner listening, the sooner we become 'at home' within.

FAMILIAR STRANGERS

Brand new clothes. Brand new pose.
Brand new smile, and brand new attitude.
Stretched my schemes. Stretched my dreams.
Gave my worldly goals more lattitude..
Friends praised all the changes,
But I felt like a stranger.
The surface was a different sight to see,
but underneath it all was...the same old me.

(Chorus)
The same old me no matter what they'd say.
Same old questions rolling through the mind.
Same old me ,dolled-up in a brand new way.
Same old heart that's been there all the time.
None of it, will ever be much clearer,
till we're friendly with that waif in the morning mirror.

Flew to Colorado, for a little skiing.
Drove up to Alaska, just to see new places.
Took the train to Florida, for a little seaing.
Everywhere, I found the same old faces.
People hiding little waifs inside -
rushing about to do all sort of things,
while something lonely looked out of their eyes.
and something in the heart still couldn't sing.
None of it, will ever be much clearer,
till we're friendly with that waif in the morning mirror.

(Chorus)
Brand new clothes won't really make the changes.
Flight around the world, won't bring us home.
We're just one of multi-million strangers.
Till we understand the waif, we're all unknown.
None of it, will ever be much clearer,
till we're friendly with that waif in the morning mirror.
