WAVES OF TIME
I watch the waves come washing to the shore.
Time and distance carries me away
They wash away the memories once more.
I stand and watch the dawn of another day.
Once I believed I never would forget.
Your face and voice would always be too dear.
Time has washed away hope and regret,
and left me with no sadness and no tear.

I understand at last, that is Life's way.
