This is about a 'place' we all feel we're in sometimes.
Sometimes just accepting emptiness is the best we can do.

LONELY ON THE BEACH
It's lonely on the Beach at Night, when only stars shine down.
The city in the distance sighs, weary in its rounds.
Still, the Waves are rolling in. Even Sea-gulls sleep.
There's just an old, old, whispering,
that sometimes seems to weep.

Chorus
We look on and listen, but what we see and hear,
does not answer questions, and does not huddle near.
We know we're whirling on our Way, but it all seems out of reach,
like we neither go nor stay.
It's lonely on the Beach.

It's lonely on the Beach at Dawn, although the Sun ascends.
Ocean Tides still sing their songs, and free them on the Wind.
Sea-gulls rise and fly away. Soon the crowds will come.
Only shells and Beach-Bums stay,
on the Beach, when Day is done.

Chorus
They look on and listen, but what they see and hear,
does not answer questions, and does not huddle near.
They know we're whirling on our Way, but it all seems out of reach,
like we neither go nor stay.
It's lonely on the Beach.
