CHANGES

I lay down in Summer,
and woke up in Autumn.
A chill wind was humming,
and changes were calling.
Leaves were descending.
Beach days were ending.
I can scarcely remember
the days of September.

Chorus
What are the reasons,
in the passing of years,
in the Changes of Seasons,
so much disappears ?
We treasure more dearly,
the simple life we knew.
Our heart sees more clearly,
than our ageng eyes do.

One day it's Summer,
then Seasons change place.
Our senses are number,
and there's lines in our face.
We live in a hollow,
of the Past and what follows.
We can scarcely remember
the days of September.

Chorus
What are the reasons,
in the passing of years,
in the Changes of Seasons,
so much disappears ?
We treasure more dearly,
the simple life we knew.
Our heart sees more clearly,
than our ageng eyes do.
