LEARNING TO LIVE
Learning to live is a long-time learning.
Learning to love is a long time too.
Through all the struggle - through all the burning,
on to the fields of faithful and true.
Learning to give, like learning to love,
is learning a wisdom for carrying through-
listening for guidance, sent from above,
weaving together the old and the new.

The whisper of Spirit, and the dream of the Soul;
learning to hear it, and how to unfold.
These are the studies of Life day by day.
These are the lessons we learn on the Way.
Learning to hold, and learning to free.
Learning to listen, and learning to sing.
Learning when each can answer a need.
Learning when each is the gift we can bring.
Learning to stay, and learning to go;
when we must act, and when we must pray;
in the College of Life, where we are enrolled,
we're learning to live, and learning the Way.
