RAIN MUSIC

There's a steady drum in the falling rain.
You can tell by the sound it's an all-day thing.
Birds fly to their sheltered place.
School Bus rolls at a slower pace.
Trees reach up for a quiet drink.
Rain twangs the puddles -
plink - plink - plink

Chorus
We're on our way and the Journey's long.
Sound of rain, is a rhythm song.
We hear it singing , all day long.
Trees reach up for a quiet drink.
Rain twangs the puddles -
plink - plink - plink

It's an old weather song since I can recall.
It's an old misty memory down Time's Hall.
It speaks of something we all have known -
the old, old song of longing for home.
It's the feet of the Wanderer moving along.
It's the beat of the Troubadour's ancient song.
Trees reach up for a quiet drink.
Rain twangs the puddles -
plink - plink - plink

Chorus
We're on our way and the Journey's long.
Sound of rain, is a rhythm song.
We hear it singing , all day long.
Trees reach up for a quiet drink.
Rain twangs the puddles -
plink - plink - plink
